Abstract

Fibre amplifiers in MOPA configuration are promising candidates to address the requirements of laser sources for the next generation of gravitational wave detectors (GWDs) operating at 1.0 and 1.5 μm [1]. However, the development of ASE- and SBS-free systems with significant output power in the linearly polarized TEM00 mode is quite challenging, in particular if a compact monolithic design is required.
