Terahertz Angular Momentum Multiplexing on a Microchip

Abstract

Terahertz angular momentum multiplexing on a microchip with a footprint of 90 micrometre by 90 micrometre is demonstrated, wherein microring waveguides exhibit nonresonant angular momentum mode-sorting sensitivity on angular momentum modes carried by terahertz spoof surface plasmon polaritons.
