Abstract
Nonlinear optical fibers with engineered normal dispersion profile are attractive for femtosecond laserpumped coherent supercontinuum generation. Polarization-induced modulation instability limits coherence in such systems [1,2]. In order to alleviate this constraint, new designs of polarization-maintaining fibers are necessary without compromising of neither nonlinearity nor the shape of dispersion characteristic.
