Abstract
New type of Direct Laser Writing opens possibilities of building both 3D functions and 3D photonic integrated circuits made of silver clusters embedded in a silver-containing photosensitive glass matrix. Thanks to the small dimensions of the spatial distribution of clusters (lower than the diffraction limit, with inner features of ∼100 nm typically) and to the associated refractive index modifications, waveguide Bragg gratings have been fabricated, especially so as to target the visible range: the demonstration of such functionality is under study.
