Miniaturized passively Q-switched Pr: YLF Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate a PrYLF laser at 640 nm passively Q-switched by a CoMgAl2O4 spinel saturable absorber. A miniaturized linear cavity as short as 8 mm enables to achieve sub-10 ns pulse durations.
