Experimental and numerical studies of thermal lensing and gain guiding effects in a high-power ZGP OPO

Abstract

We investigate the influence of thermal effects on beam quality in high-power OPOs with ZnGeP2 nonlinear optical crystals. Our setup yields more than 30 W of output power in 3-5 m region with M22.
