Sub-50-fs Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb: GdYCOB laser

Abstract

We report on the first sub-50-fs Kerr-lens mode-locked solid-state laser using mixed YbGdYCOB crystal as a gain medium, to generate pulses as short as 43 fs at 1036.5 nm with a repetition rate of 70 MHz.
