Hybrid-integrated extended cavity mode-locked laser using SiN and a generic III/V platform

Abstract

A hybrid integrated mode-locked laser made using a SiN extended cavity coupled to a generic IIIV platform gain section is demonstrated. The RF linewidth is 31 Hz, which is lower than monolithic integrated lasers.
