Mid-infrared soliton self-frequency shift using ultra-low pump pulse energy

Abstract

We generate Raman solitons tunable within the spectral range of 2.0-2.6 m from an ultralow pump pulse energy of 64 pJ. This is the lowest pump energy ever used to obtain wideband soliton shift.
