Extreme polarization dependent infrared supercontinuum generation in uncladded silicon nitride waveguide

Abstract

We demonstrate fiber-pumped short-wave infrared supercontinuum generation in an uncladded Si3N4 waveguide exhibiting extreme polarization sensitivity. Leveraging TMTE dispersion engineering we can switch from flat SPM-dominated all-normal dispersion regime to octave spanning solitonic regime.
