Chirped Pulse Amplification of 1.6 GHz Ti:Sapphire Frequency Comb Using a Tapered Semiconductor Amplifier

Abstract

We demonstrate amplification of a 1.6 GHz TiSapphire frequency comb using a tapered semiconductor amplifier. Stretched pulses at 855-865 nm were compactly amplified to 215 mW and compressed by combining a chirped Bragg grating.
