Bend Sensor based on Eccentrical Bragg Gratings in Polymer Optical Fibres

Abstract

Bend sensing through eccentric FBGs in multimode polymer optical fibres is reported. Depending on FBG number, position and depth, 1D and 3D measurements are possible with prospect for diagnosis of musicians focal dystonia in future.
