Abstract

A direct-modulation optoelectronic oscillator generates 10 and 20 GHz signals. It exhibits 15 dBm output power and -135dBcHz phase noise at 10 kHz from the carrier at 10 GHz -5 dBm and -126dBcHz at 20GHz.
