Picosecond Pulse Generation from a Wavelength Tunable Er: ZBLAN Mid-Infrared Fiber Laser

Abstract

We report on a mid-infrared erbium ZBLAN fiber laser mode-locked with frequency shifted feedback. The generated pulses exhibited a minimum pulse duration of 21 ps in 2.7 - 2.8 m wavelength range.
