Airy beam enables single pass curved in-volume modifications and cutting of borosilicate glass

Abstract

We produced permanent laser modifications in borosilicate glass following an adjustable parabolic trajectory and used these for single pass cutting of a 500 m glass sheet resulting in a well defined convex edge after etching.
