Abstract
Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) [1] are essential sources for IR-photonics: narrow linewidth and wavelength tunability can serve high-end and upcoming applications, such as monitoring and sensing, bio-sensing, monitoring the integrity of civil structures, laser ranging (LIDAR) for autonomous traffic or sensing of rotation with optical gyros.
