Abstract
Combining a pair of modelocked lasers to obtain a dual optical frequency comb enables many applications such as high-resolution spectroscopy [1]. However, implementing this technology can be difficult, as it requires two highly coherent combs. Here we report a new dual-comb laser based on spatial multiplexing [2], which delivers two pulse trains directly from a single laser cavity with ultra-low relative noise properties.
