Nonlinear Light Evolution in a Photonic Thouless Pump

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a nonlinear photonic Thouless pump and show that the Kerr effect in discrete waveguide arrangements enables the topological transport of excitations initially placed in the topologically trivial band for sufficient excitation powers.
