Directional Control of Thermal Emission Across Both Polarizations With Mu-Near-Zero Metamaterials

Abstract

Conventional strategies for enabling directional thermal emission only control p polarization emissivity which limits directional control to half the available thermal radiance. Here we show that mu-near-zero metamaterials enable directional thermal emission across both polarizations.
