Hong-Ou-Mandel Interference in LNOI

Abstract

We design, fabricate, and characterise a balanced directional coupler in lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) and use it to demonstrate Hong-Ou-Mandel interference of telecom photons with a raw visibility of (93.5±0.7) %.
