Abstract

We theoretically and experimentally investigate the noise properties of four-wave mixing-based optical-parametric oscillators (OPOs) in silicon nitride microresonators. Such OPOs can operate at ultralow-noise levels and serve as a dual-point source for optical- frequency division.
