Generation of High-Order Harmonics by Stimulated Inverse Bremsstrahlung Process in Non-Metal Nanostructures

Abstract

We theoretically analyze a novel mechanism of high-order harmonic generation by stimulated inverse bremsstrahlung driven by time-dependent electric field of ultrashort laser pulses in dielectric or semiconductor nanostructures. It is compared with electron-hole recombination mechanisms.
