Field Effect Modulation using Transparent Conductive Oxides and Multilayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

Abstract

External optical modulators with surface normal geometry using transition metal dichalcogenides and transparent conductive oxides are being developed in this work based on exciton physics and charge accumulation property respectively upon application of electrical bias.
