Photon pair generation in nonlinear adiabatic waveguiding structures

Abstract

We propose a novel scheme for broadband generation of photon pairs combined with efficient spatial pump filtering. This is achieved through spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a system of nonlinear adiabatically coupled waveguides.
