Experimental BosonSampling in a Tunable Optical Network

Abstract

We report an experimental demonstration of BosonSampling: an intermediate-model of quantum-computing. We verify that the scattering probabilities for three-photon interference are given by permanents of sub-matrices of a larger unitary matrix describing the optical network.
