Intense broadband THz pulse generation from relativistic laser-plasma interaction

Abstract

We demonstrate intense broadband terahertz pulse generation from the interaction of high intensity femtosecond laser with solid density plasmas. We measure substantial enhancement of terahertz pulse energy (32 μJ/pulse) by using aligned copper nanorod targets.
