A New Route for Fabricating On-Chip Chalcogenide Microcavity Resonators

Abstract

We report a novel versatile method for the high yield production and on-chip integration of self-assembled globally oriented high-Q Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) chalcogenide microresonators. The results of optical and material characterization of the spherical and spheroidal microresonators are given.
