Liquid Crystal Tuning of All-dielectric Metasurfaces

Abstract

We experimentally realize active tuning of electric and magnetic resonances of all-dielectric optical metasurfaces based on the temperature-dependent refractive-index change of liquid crystals. We achieve 40 nm spectral tuning and modulation contrast of 500%.
