Optical Access to Topological-Insulator Surface States with Plasmonic Rotating Fields

Abstract

We implemented a square plasmonic cavity supporting an array of counter rotating field elements. The controlled, highly confined angular momenta array is a means for coupling to the spin helical surface states of topological insulators.
