Control of Coherent Backscattering in a Multimode Fiber Using Nonreciprocal Phase Modulation

Abstract

We used a magneto-optical effect to control coherent backscattering in a multimode fiber. A continuous transition from a backscattered peak to a dip was realized by manipulating the relative phase between reciprocal paths.
