Direct Imaging of Iso-frequency Contours in Photonic Crystal Slabs

Abstract

We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate a method for directly imaging iso-frequency contours in photonic crystal slabs using resonance-enhanced scattering from fabrication disorder. The results agree quantitatively with numerical simulations and provide information on fabrication errors.
