Ultrafast Spontaneous Emission Rate from an InGaN Quantum Dot Coupled to a Silver Plasmonic Cavity

Abstract

An open-top plasmonic cavity was used to enhance the radiative rate of an InGaN quantum dot which is limited by the built-in piezoelectric field. A spontaneous emission lifetime as short as 46ps was shown.
