Practical Multiplexing For Third Generation Quantum Repeaters

Abstract

We restrict quantum error correcting code sizes in third-generation quantum repeaters to explore qubit channel multiplexing. We find that the single link optimization is not necessarily the optimal configuration for improving the practical encoded-qubit throughput.
