Plasmonic Sensing with Quantum Noise

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a surface plasmon resonance sensor utilizing quantum noise in two-mode squeezed states for signal transduction. This quantum plasmonic sensor exhibits 5 dB greater sensitivity than its classical analog by exploiting plasmonic absorption.
