PT-symmetric Terahertz Sensors Using Optically Pumped Graphene Metasurfaces

Abstract

We investigate the parity-time (PT) symmetric THz system realized with an infrared-pumped active graphene metasurface. We show that the chemically-tuned unidirectional transparency at the exceptional point may make ultra-sensitive gas/molecular/chemical sensors.
