Novel method for characterizing single-photon detectors

Abstract

We introduce and demonstrate a simple and highly sensitive method for charactirization of click/no-click detectors, such as single-photon avalanche diodes. A higher-order autocorrelation technique is offered to explain rate-dependent phenomena.
