Modulation technique for improving temporal resolution in biphoton coincidence measurements

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a new method for temporal characterization of entangled photons based on electro-optic modulation and time shifting. Our technique reduces the resolution limits induced by the large timing jitters in single-photon detectors.
