Measurement of free-space coupling efficiency in a deformed microcavity using stimulated Raman scattering

Abstract

We identify experimentally the efficiency of the free-space coupling through measuring the threshold of stimulated Raman scattering in a slightly deformed microtoroid cavity, and the measured efficiency is up to 30%.
