Photonic Crystal Surface Emitting Laser with Ultralow Thermal Resistance and Narrow Divergence Angle

Abstract

CW electrically pumped PC array surface emitting laser at 1545nm with ultralow thermal resistance of 0.018K/mW is realized experimentally. Narrow divergence angle of less than 4.8° and nearly circular beam are also achieved.
