Tunable dual-wavelength fiber laser with ultra-narrow linewidth based on Rayleigh backscattering

Abstract

We demonstrated a tunable dual-wavelength fiber laser with a 3dB linewidth of ~700 Hz for each wavelength based on the linewidth compression mechanism due to Rayleigh backscattering, and the wavelength tuning range is 3nm.
