Raman Fiber Laser with Direct Diode Pumping at 915 nm

Abstract

954-nm Raman laser directly pumped by a 915-nm laser diode is realized in a 2.5-km-long multimode graded-index fiber with fiber Bragg grating. It generates low-index transverse modes with power >4 W at slope efficiency >40%.
