Abstract

We demonstrated high-energy-pulse generation in 2.2–2.6 µm using a Cr:ZnSe single-pass amplifier in nanosecond pulse operation. Output energy was increased from 4.3 to 23.1 mJ at 2.41 µm with pump energy of 47.7 mJ. The conversion efficiency of the amplifier reached 39.4%.
