Optical properties of gold thin films at elevated temperatures

Abstract

Temperature dependence of gold thin film optical constants is studied from room temperature to 500 °C for different crystallinities and thicknesses. Degradation of plasmonic properties at elevated temperatures and its effects on applications are discussed.
