Optical Magnetic Force Induces Molecular Rotations

Abstract

Optical interactions involving both electric and magnetic fields in two-photon scattering can stimulate molecular librations/rotations, via torque-enhanced magnetic transitions. Here we report ultrafast observations of magneto-electrically-induced vibrations and rotations.
