Metal-insulator-metal Metamaterial Absorbers with Optical Absorption Tailored by Embedded Phonons

Abstract

We demonstrated that the coupling of the plasmonic resonances of gold nanodisk antennae and naonrod antennae with the optical phonons in the dielectric spacer such as SiO2, Si3N4 and PDMS can broaden the absorption band.
