Subwavelength imaging of collective modes in silicon nanopillar honeycomb lattices

Abstract

We report fabrication and direct imaging of silicon Mie resonators with molecular-orbital-like bonding and anti-bonding local photonic density of states, as well as selective excitation of collective Bloch modes at specific frequencies and lattice sites.
