Quantum Coherent Transverse and Longitudinal Control for Attosecond Shaping of Free Electron Beams

Abstract

We demonstrate coherent control of free-electron momentum states in the longitudinal and transverse dimensions, including a temporal shaping of electron densities. A novel quantum state reconstruction scheme is employed to measure attosecond electron pulse trains.
