Nonlinear Optical Conversion of Photon Spin to Orbital Angular Momentum

Abstract

We demonstrate, to our knowledge, the first optical spin-to-orbital angular momentum conversion using second harmonic generation in underdense plasmas, enabling the generation of arbitrary orbital angular momentum beams using a single focusing optic.
