Abstract

We demonstrate near-unity circular dichroism in planar dielectric nanostructures, with approximately 90% of the incident light of the chosen helicity being transmitted at normal incidence at 540 nm. Such strong intrinsic chiral behavior exists due to the excitation of giant higher-order multipoles.
