Generating Entanglement of Spin and Orbital Angular Momentum by Metasurfaces

Abstract

We design an experiment that uses a highly efficient dielectric metasurface to create entanglement on a single photon. The spin-orbit interaction mediated by the metasurface entangles the polarization and orbital angular momentum degrees of freedom.
